Best Fox Call is happy to continue to support the South Yorkshire Game Fair - whilst it’s a relatively modest show in terms of size and visitor numbers, this is reflected fairly in the price of a pitch and quality of visitors. We’ve attended for 2 years now and both have been profitable for us. Great location with good facilities, great attention to detail from Richard - and the breakfast vouchers are a bonus! We’ll be there in 2016!

We just wanted to say thank you for inviting us to your show we really enjoyed it, and appreciated all the hard work you had put in to making the event a success,  it was one the best ran  and very organized shows we have been to. Hope to see you next year!

Mick and Sue Dadd (Traditional net maker)

Just wanted to say a big thank you for giving me the opportunity to exhibit at the show this weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it and seems to have been worth it. I hope it was a success for you also. Hope to see you soon!

Lee Campion (Hayton Castle Clay Shoot)

I just wanted to say thank you so much for organising such a lovely show and inviting me to be part of it. It was a pleasure to be included as part of your team, you were all so welcoming, with a very helpful and professional team… its a shame more organisers are not like you.

I hope the show went as you hoped, it seemed to be a great success. Sunday was definitely a different day to the Saturday.. which unfortunately had so many outside circumstances interfering with it which were out of your control.

I do hope the show will be going ahead again next year and we can be a part of it again. I hope you’ve got time now to put your feet up for a while, before your next challenge.

As an antiques dealer specialising in field sports for the last twenty years and a back ground of working my dogs in the beating line and picking up, I was excited to learn of a new game fair at the Doncaster race course.

I was not disappointed as I enjoyed a very busy day generating sales, enquiries and a customer wish list as long as my arm. The following months after the fair my phone has not stopped ringing from customers I had met at Doncaster.

I immediately rebooked the next fair which I believe will bigger and better. I have already started buying stock for the 2015 event Well done Richard, I can't wait for October.

The last show of the year for me turned out to be one of the most organised and well run events I have done in several years. From the point of booking onwards, Richard and the guys couldn't have been more helpfull. On arrival I saw the potential of the layout and venue. There's plenty of space, the venue is heated well, there is food readly available, great parking and the event was well priced.

Attendance was very concistant on the show days and we where busy on both days. This show has the potential to become a large and popular end of year event and I am already booked on for 2015!

For Night Master, the South Yorkshire Game Fair was a success on so many levels, which is a credit to the event organiser.  Obviously, any trader wants to turn a profit at every show, but for most traders supporting this new event, breaking-even would have been good enough as it was a new show on the shooter’s calendar.

Compared with preparation for other events, Night Master’s prep the day before the doors opened on the first South Yorkshire Game Fair was quite relaxed. On arrival at Doncaster Racecourse we were greeted by a smiling parking steward who guided us to where we needed to be to unload the van, which, given the number of entrances to the indoor venue, was very close to the Night Master stand.

Whilst erecting our stand we decided to use the free meal tickets, which all traders received – every person on each stand was entitled to a meal on arrival, such as a sandwich, crisps and drink; and then a breakfast bap each morning. This was a very thoughtful touch by SYGF organiser, Richard Brook, especially for those who had travelled from Devon and Cornwall for the show and would have been ready for a bite to eat. It was good to see an event organiser looking-after the traders.

Being a predominantly indoor venue with 24hr security, the Doncaster Racecourse is a dream for many traders, who can leave stock on their stands and enjoy the evenings. Which Night Master did – meeting-up with the guys from Swillington Shooting Supplies and Rob’s lads from Best Fox Call.

The show mornings were extremely easy and stress-free as there was no need to get up really early to restock the stand. The stock was already there and all we had to do was grab our free breakfast and wait for the doors to open.

For Night Master the SYGF was a total success. For Richard Brook to create such a polished event, which focused on the traders as much as the visitors, was impressive. It was certainly the best organised show that we had ever been to and other traders have said the same – G.D. Troth, who have been going to similar events over the past 20+ years, said that the SYGF was the best organised event that they had done.

Night Master is looking forward to sponsoring the show again this year, when it will be called the South Yorkshire Shooting Show & Game Fair to highlight the big shooting element to the show.
